All right, we’ve given you some hot tips on natural hair products that you can find around the house or at least at your local fruit stand. We’ve listened to your requests and we are going to start rolling out the retail product reviews.
Of course, it goes without saying that our reviews will be on only natural hair products. As a health conscious reader, you are already aware of the cancer causing, endocrine disrupting chemicals found in most retail products.
Our first review choice? John Masters Organics Shine On
First of all, John Masters Organics products are pretty impressive as far as natural hair products go. They go the extra mile. Not only do they only use natural products, but the products are also harvested by independent local farmers across the globe. No huge industries. John Masters Organics truly supports the little guy.
Not only that, but as a company, John Masters also extends their eco-friendly thinking to the shipping and packaging, which is also environmentally friendly. A company like this is worth applauding.
Okay, so on to the product review….
John Masters Organics, Shine On is a leave in hair treatment that not only promises to give your hair with supernatural shine, but they really deliver as well!
On the list of ingredients are organic sea kelp, carrot seed oil, marine phytoplankton, and calendula extract. This organic, all natural hair product advertises “shine” but it also protects and rebuilds damaged hair as well.
What’s it Like?
The product itself is sort of a cross between mousse and a gel. Apply it to wet hair and it immediately absorbs, making your tresses more manageable and easy to style. You’ll find that your hair will style “frizz free” and will give you that “I’ve just been to an upscale salon” look.
Also, if your hair isn’t normally frizzy, but you find that it loses its bounce and fullness on humid days, this product is for you! The product won’t turn heavy in humid weather. In fact, just the opposite is true. It won’t build up and need to be stripped away either. The only down side to this natural hair product is the fact that it’s a little pricey when compared to retail, “off the shelf” products, but a little goes a long way so we don’t consider the price to be an issue.
Shine On can be purchased for right around $30. You won’t be sorry you’ve given this one a try! Here’s to healthy, happy, and beautifully shiny tresses!
If you’ve tried this product and have anything to say, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment! We want your input! Also, if you would like to rave about any other natural hair product, let us know!
